Job description

Traco Manufacturing is seeking a dependable, professional Delivery Driver to join our team and serve as a trusted face of the company on the road and at customer sites. In this role, you’ll ensure accurate, timely deliveries using company-owned vehicles while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service. If you’re an experienced driver who takes pride in precision, efficiency, and representing your company with integrity, we want to hear from you.

A minimum of 2 years of driving experience is preferred, along with an active DOT medical card.

Job Summary:

The Delivery Driver is responsible for pulling, staging, and delivering products to customers in a timely and courteous manner using company-owned vehicles (box trucks, vans, or other assigned vehicles). This role ensures product accuracy, safe transport, and professional representation of Traco Manufacturing at all times.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Verify pack lists against shipments and perform visual quality inspections to ensure accuracy and product integrity before delivery.
  • Complete required pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and safety checks.
  • Ensure secure and proper loading of trucks for delivery.
  • Make daily deliveries to customers and between facilities, including raw materials and production components.
  • Complete customer delivery check-in and documentation.
  • Provide a high level of customer service and represent Traco Manufacturing professionally at all times.
  • Plan and adjust delivery routes efficiently to meet customer timelines and changing priorities.
  • Accurately complete daily driver manifests.
  • Notify Warehouse Lead or Manager of any delivery issues, refusals, or returns.
  • Assist warehouse operations with order preparation and staging as needed.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
  • 3–5 years of commercial (business-to-business) delivery driving experience required
  • Active DOT medical card
  • Must have experience operating box trucks and/or similar commercial vehicles
  • Clean driving record required
  • Must pass background check including MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) review, and drug test
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more regularly
  • Experience using pallet jacks and handling heavy materials (up to 2,000 lbs.)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Professional demeanor and appearance required
  • Ability to de-escalate customer concerns and maintain composure in stressful situations
  • Hands-free device use required; no cellphone handling while driving
