Job description

Delivery Driver Associate

Are you looking for more than just a job—a place where your contributions make a real impact, and your success is shared with your team? At Central States Group, a Cogent company, we're proud to offer exactly that. Are you someone who enjoys being on the road, interacting with customers, and working independently throughout the day? We are looking for a reliable and professional Delivery Driver Associate to join our team. This position is primarily focused on making deliveries and representing our company in a positive customer-focused manner.

If you have experience driving straight trucks or trucks with trailers and take pride in safe, dependable service we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

As a Delivery Associate, you will play a mission-critical role in the daily operations of our business! As a driver your primary responsibility will be delivering products to customer locations safely, accurately, and on time using a company truck. You'll serve as the face of the company during customer interactions, providing friendly and professional service with every delivery.

While the majority of your time will be spent driving and making deliveries, occasional warehouse assistance may be needed to help support daily operations.

This is a hands-on role where teamwork, accuracy, and safety are top priorities.

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a company straight truck for local deliveries
  • Load and unload products for customer deliveries
  • Ensure deliveries are accurate and completed on schedule
  • Provide excellent customer service during all customer interactions
  • Complete daily vehicle inspections and follow DOT and safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean driving record and operate equipment safely
  • Assist with light warehouse duties as needed, including loading, receiving or picking material

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Related experience required: driving a straight truck and/or truck with trailer
  • Valid driver's license with a good, clean driving record (no CDL required) but DOT experience is highly preferred
  • Computer literacy and ability to learn warehouse software
  • Strong communication and people skills for frequent customer interaction
  • Ability to work independently and manage delivery routes efficiently
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs safely and repeatedly
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)

Physical Demands

  • Heavy lifting (up to 70 pounds).
  • Standing, walking, bending, and moving throughout an 8-hour shift.

Work Environment

  • Warehouse environment with continual exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures
  • Driving and customer delivery work in all weather conditions

Why Work With Us?

At Central States Group, a Cogent company, you're not just an employee—you're part of a growing team that values hard work, collaboration, and shared success. Together, we help build healthy and prosperous communities by delivering reliable industrial products and solutions.

We Offer

  • Competitive Pay
  • Employee Ownership (ESOP)
  • 401(k) with Company Match
  • Profit Sharing
  • Medical, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance
  • Generous PTO, Paid Holidays & Volunteer Time Off
  • Career Development & Advancement Opportunities
  • A Culture That Values Innovation, Collaboration, and Respect

Make Your Mark with Central States Group!

This is more than just a job—it's a chance to work in a company where your efforts are recognized, your voice is valued, and your professional growth is supported. Join us today and be part of a team where you can grow your career while making a difference.
