Job description


Salary:

  • Salary placement shall be made by the Board or the Board designee and is commensurate with education and experience pursuant to the APT Negotiated Agreement

Hours:

  • FTE: 1.0
  • 9 Month Position (190 days)
    • 8/3/26 to 5/28/2027

 
Description:

  • Assist students in selecting appropriate courses. Assist in determining the number of courses and schedule needed for new school years.
  • Monitor academic and attendance records in order to identify potential at-risk students or lack of credit to achieve graduation, notify administration.
  • Assist the administrative team in establishing a school climate which encourages good conduct, positive attitudes and values for all students.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents and staff members.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with staff members, parents, and students.
  • Work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Administer appropriate academic tests to students as needed.
  • Participate in staff development and school improvement activities in order to maintain professional growth.
  • Participate in events outside of the regularly scheduled work day such as orientation, open houses, or conferences.
  • Experience working with a diverse population is preferred but not required.

Qualifications:

  • Valid State of Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate endorsements registered in Will County/Region 56
  • Certificate of good health signed by a licensed medical provider
