Job description

MDB provides medical and psychiatric services to residents in long-term care facilities (LTCs) in Mississippi, Louisiana and Arkansas. We are the largest healthcare provider in LTC in the region, and we have an outstanding team of physicians, nurse practitioners, and therapists.

We have been providing services in LTC settings for over 12 years, and we have a very strong reputation among both clinicians and LTCs.

As a Primary Care Provider, you will provide primary care to patients in long-term care facilities.

This includes:

  • Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Offering medication management, including prescribing and monitoring medications.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure patient care.
  • Maintaining accurate medical documentation in line with regulatory standards.
  • Providing education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatments.
Qualifications
  • At least two years of experience is required
  • Experience providing care to geriatric populations in long-term care settings is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially when working with facility staff and residents' families.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, including flexibility in scheduling and being responsive to patient needs.
