PSB Boys Program Manager Job Description

 

Reports To: PSB DC’s City Director

 

Job Overview: As the Boys Program Manager for PSB DC, you will help control all on-court and business operations of PSB in DC. PSB Program Managers help ensure all players’ physical and mental safety and provide customers with a positive and professional experience with Pro Skills Basketball. Customers should see the organization, genuine care for children’s development, clear and timely communication, and professional and positive coaching. 

 

Duties Description:

 
  1. Take a lead role in the business development of PSB DC. 
    1. Help PSB DC City Director grow the number of boys players in your city year over year.
    2. Help PSB DC City Director increase customer satisfaction for boys teams in your city year over year.
    3. Help plan and lead coaching development opportunities for boys team coaches throughout the year for PSB DC. 
    4. Execute grassroots marketing strategies, including attending non-PSB basketball games throughout the year to increase awareness of our brand and make connections.
    5. Take the lead running PSB DC social media accounts according to PSB guidelines.
  2. Provide leadership by overseeing the season scheduling and logistics of all on-court teams and events such as camps and clinics for PSB DC.
    1. Help ensure all practices and games have coaches in attendance.
    2. Cover any practices and games that coaches have to miss.
    3. Coach or attend at least five practices per week (two nights per week) to oversee and provide feedback to coaches.
    4. Help plan and manage all PSB operations in DC.
  3. Communication
    1. Assist with updating PSB App with practice times per Director’s updates on Airtable.
    2. Assist with updating PSB app with game times per league/tournament app and/or emails.
    3. Practice punctuality for all scheduled PSB meetings and calls.
    4. Lead an electronic conference call once every other week with coaches.
  4. Take an active role in Conflict Resolution
    1. Work in collaboration with the PSB DC City Director to professionally and proactively resolve certain issues that arise during the season with parents, coaches, and players. Handle certain issues delegated by PSB DC City Director.
    2. Work to establish positive staff and customer relations.
    3. Practice respect at all times
  5. Provide leadership and oversight on the quality of PSB DC. 

Work with the HR Coordinator to recruit, interview, hire, train, and place coaches on properly fitting teams.

  1. Perform quality checks according to PSB guidelines
  2. Provide feedback to coaches according to PSB guidelines
  3. Lead on-court events when necessary according to PSB guidelines
  4. Plan, staff, and ensure all camps and clinics run in accordance to PSB guidelines.
 

Job Performance will be evaluated and measured by:

 
  1. 80% or higher positive customer satisfaction as reported by customer surveys.
  2. 100% of PSB DC practices and games have coaches and/or managers in attendance to lead.
  3. 10% or higher year-over-year growth
