We offer high-quality, community-focused sports programs for boys and girls ages 3-14 in today's most popular sports, including flag football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and t-ball.
About the Job
We are seeking an enthusiastic, leadership-minded T-Ball/Baseball Coordinator to oversee and elevate our youth baseball program.
In this role, you aren't just an instructor; you are the leader of the field. You will oversee each session, coordinate and mentor our Parent Volunteer Coaches, and ensure a dynamic, positive, and high-energy experience is delivered to all players. This position entails hands-on involvement with both practices and games across our core development age groups:
  • Ages 3-4: T-Ball
  • Ages 5-6: Coach Pitch
  • Ages 7-8: Coach Pitch

Schedule & Locations
This position offers weekend shifts only (Saturdays and/or Sundays based on your availability).
  • Locations: Fairfax, Vienna, Reston, and Annandale
  • Upcoming Fall League: Sept 12th - Oct 25th

Key Responsibilities
1. Program Coordination & Instruction
  • Lead weekly T-Ball and Baseball sessions by age group.
  • Partner with and lead volunteer parent coaches each week to ensure they can deliver effective practices using practice plans provided by i9 Sports.
  • Teach young athletes fundamental baseball skills, including throwing, catching, fielding, and hitting.
  • Provide encouraging, constructive feedback to help players build confidence and skill.
  • Complete mandatory, financially compensated pre-season training sessions.

2. Safety & Supervision
  • Prioritize and maintain the physical safety of all participants during practices and games.
  • Supervise large groups of young athletes, maintaining an inclusive, structured, and fun environment.
  • Promptly address and manage any safety concerns or field conditions.

3. Communication & Leadership
  • Act as the main point of contact on the field, maintaining excellent communication with parents, participants, and staff.
  • Address questions, feedback, and concerns from parents professionally and diplomatically.

Qualifications
  • Experience: Previous experience coaching, playing, or officiating baseball/softball is required.
  • Leadership: Strong ability to manage, motivate, and direct others (specifically adult volunteer coaches and groups of children).
  • Soft Skills: High patience, high energy, a positive attitude, and excellent problem-solving skills under pressure.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly speak to large groups of parents and children.
  • Logistics & Requirements:
    • Must be 16 years of age or older.
    • Must have a reliable personal vehicle/transportation.
    • Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check.
    • Must be extremely reliable, punctual, and committed to working consecutive weekends for the duration of the season.
