Position Overview

Divine & Associates Children's Health Care System is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team. This full-time remote position based in Austin, Texas, offers the unique opportunity to engage with clients through a blend of telehealth and in-person counseling sessions. Work Environment

This position operates within the context of a Community Health Clinic, enabling counselors to serve a diverse population of children and families experiencing various mental health challenges. As a remote role, you will have the flexibility to manage your schedule while ensuring that you are accessible to clients who need support during extended hours of operation, from 7 AM to 10 PM seven days a week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history and craft appropriate treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment strategies that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience-building techniques.
  • Offer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing methods such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, cultivate coping mechanisms, and foster healing.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and allied health professionals to provide integrated and cohesive care to patients.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies relating to trauma.
  • Educate patients and their caregivers regarding trauma responses, evident coping strategies, and available community resources.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of client interactions, in line with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development initiatives focused on trauma-informed care.
  • Stay informed of the latest research and best practices related to trauma therapy to continually enhance treatment effectiveness.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients served by Divine & Associates encompass a wide range of ages and backgrounds, with a particular emphasis on children and families impacted by traumatic experiences. As a clinician in this role, you will play an essential part in helping them navigate their mental health journey, applying targeted treatment strategies to reduce symptoms of trauma and improve their overall well-being.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
  • A comprehensive understanding of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment methodologies, and strategies for fostering resilience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills underscored by a compassionate, non-judgmental approach.
Preferred Experience
  • At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, particularly with trauma-focused interventions preferred.
  • Expertise in delivering trauma-centered therapies and interventions, such as EMDR and TF-CBT.
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary team and utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation.
  • Ability to effectively handle crisis situations and maintain composure under pressure.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from $70,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes guaranteed pay, annual increases, and bonus opportunities.
