Position Description

The Production Associate at Applied Medical plays a vital role in manufacturing high-quality medical devices that support the company’s mission of advancing healthcare through innovative technology. This role contributes directly to product reliability and patient safety by assembling, inspecting, and preparing components used in devices used for surgical solutions. The Production Associate works collaboratively within a cleanroom or production environment to ensure consistent quality, efficiency, and compliance with all company and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform manufacturing and assembly operations in cleanroom and non-cleanroom environments in accordance with engineering drawings and shop order instructions.
  • Inspect, measure, and verify product quality using established test methods and visual inspection standards.
  • Operate production equipment and tools safely and effectively to meet daily production and quality goals.
  • Follow Applied Medical’s Quality Systems (QS), including standard operating procedures (SOPs), manufacturing instructions (MIs), and quality instructions (QIs).
  • Maintain adherence to all safety and company policies while contributing to a clean and organized workspace.
  • Collaborate with production team members and leadership to identify process improvements and resolve manufacturing challenges.
  • Document work accurately and report any nonconformances or potential process issues to area leadership.
  • Support continuous improvement by participating in team discussions and contributing to process refinement.

  • Consistently producing high-quality products that meet or exceed quality and safety standards.
  • Demonstrating precision, consistency, and accountability in all assembly and inspection tasks.
  • Maintaining strong teamwork and communication across shifts and departments.

Position Requirements

  • Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail, particularly when working with small components.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English instructions and documentation.
  • Comfort working with chemicals such as isopropyl alcohol and materials including plastic and rubber.
  • Commitment to wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gowns, masks, and gloves as required in cleanroom environments.
  • Flexibility to work full-time schedules with occasional overtime as production demands require.
  • Dependability, punctuality, and a proactive approach to learning and quality improvement.

  • Prior experience in medical device manufacturing, assembly, or cleanroom operations.
