Who You Are:
We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to join our Metal Manufacturing Team. As a Production Supervisor you will be responsible for supporting, overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of our production department, with a heavy focus on enhancing efficiency and continuous improvement. This role plays a pivotal part in achieving our production goals and maintaining a productive workforce.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead, coach, and mentor production staff to ensure they meet production targets while adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the production planning team to schedule and prioritize production orders, ensuring on-time delivery of products.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to maintain product quality and minimize defects.
  • Allocate resources, including personnel and equipment, efficiently to optimize production output.
  • Ensure all employees follow safety protocols and participate in safety training programs to maintain a safe and accident-free workplace.
  • Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of continuous improvement (CI) projects to improve manufacturing processes and increase efficiency.
  • Mentor production teams and supervisors on the application of lean principles and how to identify and solve operational challenges
  • Monitor and manage raw materials and finished goods inventory to ensure adequate supplies for production.
  • Maintain accurate records of production metrics, including output, downtime, and quality, and analyze data to make data-driven decisions.
  • Foster a positive work environment by providing training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Address and resolve any employee issues or conflicts that may arise within the production team.
  • Work with cross functional teams to remedy immediate issues and holistic root-cause solutions.

What You'll Bring:
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of continuous improvement (CI) and Lean Manufacturing or similar OpEx frameworks.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/Inventory systems is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in production processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proven ability to remain calm under pressure and lead with high Emotional Intelligence (EQ). Strong leadership and coaching abilities, with experience in training and mentoring teams, as a teacher and as a peer.
