Job description

Production Planner
Ultradent, the global name in oral health is seeking a manufacturing Scheduler/Production Planner to join Ultradent's Planning team. The production planner is responsible for developing an executable production schedule for a given set of products, control costs by planning material and labor, and Maximize customer delivery while minimizing inventory liability.
Important job duties:
  • Develop and maintain inventory plans to balance resources and materials through the supply chain.
  • Develop an attainable production schedule by analyzing the demand forecast, understanding capacity constraints and passing production requirements to manufacturing.
  • Utilize Make to Stock (MTS), Make to Order (MTO) and Assemble to Order (ATO) strategies to support customer demand.
  • Analyze variations/changes to the demand plan and strategically create a path forward.
  • Work closely with manufacturing to understand and quantify changes to the product plan to best service our customers.
  • Drive key operational measurements including finish goods and sub assembly inventory levels, and Capacity/Resource measurements.

What we're looking for in you:
  • Strong understanding of MRP logic along with order modifiers to develop an executable plan.
  • 3-5 years of prior experience in production planning is ideal.
  • Basic understanding of Supply Chain.
  • Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing Practices and/or APICS certification.

What you'll need to succeed:
  • Ability to tackle a problem by using a logical, systematic, sequential approach.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to adapt to change in the workplace.
