We are seeking a motivated, results-driven Production Supervisor to lead an entire production room or manufacturing area. This salaried leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence by leading production teams, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement throughout the assigned area. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a passion for developing people, improving processes, and delivering measurable business results.

Job ResponsibilitiesLeadership amp; Team Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop production team leaders and production employees across an assigned production area.

  • Foster a positive, accountable, and growth-oriented culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and support employee development plans.

  • Build a strong succession pipeline by identifying and developing future leaders.

  • Promote teamwork, collaboration, and effective communication across departments.

Production amp; Operational Leadership
  • Oversee daily production activities to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and customer delivery expectations are achieved.

  • Coordinate workflow across all production cells to maximize efficiency and eliminate bottlenecks.

  • Monitor labor utilization, equipment performance, material flow, and production output.

  • Ensure proper staffing and labor allocation based on production demands.

  • Escalate significant operational issues to the Production Manager while providing recommended solutions.

Lean Manufacturing amp; Continuous Improvement
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and Lean Six Sigma principles to reduce waste and improve productivity.

  • Identify opportunities to improve production flow, reduce downtime, and increase value-added activities.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance.

  • Utilize root cause analysis to resolve recurring production issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.

Financial amp; Business Performance
  • Monitor labor utilization, productivity, and operational efficiency to support cost reduction initiatives.

  • Develop an understanding of manufacturing costs, labor utilization, margins, and operational performance metrics.

  • Review production data and prepare accurate performance reports for leadership.

  • Support departmental goals by managing resources efficiently while maintaining production standards.

Safety amp; Quality
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and manufacturing procedures.

  • Promote a culture of safety by conducting regular safety observations and addressing hazards promptly.

  • Ensure quality standards are consistently maintained throughout all production processes.

  • Support audits, corrective actions, and quality improvement initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities

Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment required.

  • Demonstrated success leading multiple production teams or departments.

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, production planning, and workflow management.

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Lean Six Sigma principles preferred.

  • Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Ability to analyze production metrics and make data-driven decisions.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and manufacturing reporting systems.

  • Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout the production floor.

  • Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs.

  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and production conditions.

  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
