Job Title: Ribbon Machine Operator
Reports To: Department Supervisor
Job Summary
The Ribbon Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining ribbon production machinery to manufacture high-quality textile ribbons. This role ensures efficient production, adherence to specifications, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up ribbon weaving, knitting, or cutting machines according to production specifications
  • Operate machines to produce ribbons of various widths, colors, and materials
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain product quality
  • Inspect ribbons for defects such as uneven edges, color inconsistencies, or pattern errors
  • Measure and verify ribbon dimensions to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Replace spools, threads, and materials as needed during production
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines
  • Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and report major problems to maintenance
  • Maintain accurate production records and logs
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous experience in textile manufacturing or machine operation is a plus
  • Ability to read and understand work orders and production specifications
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Attention to detail and quality control
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights
