Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate relationships with customers with the goal of ensuring sufficient space and resources
  • Develop and implement strategies that will maximize the synergy among various departments
  • Direct and coordinate program activities and personnel responsible for specific functions or phases of program
  • Review reports and records of activities to ensure progress is being accomplished towards specified program objective and modify or change methodology as required to redirect activities to obtain objectives
  • Implement a development program to address skill gaps
  • Ensures timely and accurate preparation of project artifacts, schedule, ETC/EAC and program reviews
  • Member of QSRT
  • Shape and capture follow on business with current customers
  • Control expenditures in accordance with budget allocations
  • Instill a sense of accountability among team members by providing tight oversight of standards
  • Monitors corrective action plans and milestone dates and ensures correction of internal control deficiencies
  • Confer with staff to explain program and individual responsibilities for each phase of the development

Qualifications:
  • Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and facilitate the information flow between external and internal constituents
  • Must possess electrical, mechanical, troubleshooting, cost management, negotiation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to form strong relationships and communication channels across the organization

Minimum Requirements:
  • MA/MS in Engineering, Computer Science, Science or a related academic field plus 2 yrs directly related experience, or BA/BS plus 5 yrs directly related experience, or AA/AS plus 7 yrs directly related experience, or 18 yrs directly related experience

Physical Demands:
  • While performing these job duties, the employee is routinely required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; use fingers and hands to type or write; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:
  • This position is performed in a traditional office environment, with some local travel between facilities.
