Job description

We are seeking an experienced Envelope Adjuster/ Press Operator to operate, set up, and adjust envelope manufacturing and printing equipment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with press operations, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment while maintaining high standards for quality, productivity, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and adjust envelope converting and printing equipment.
  • Perform make-ready and changeovers, including adjustments for different envelope sizes, stocks, and production requirements.
  • Operate printing presses and monitor print quality throughout production runs.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, printing, and feeding issues and make adjustments as needed.
  • Inspect finished envelopes for proper dimensions, print registration, folds, seals, and overall quality.
  • Read and follow production specifications, work orders, and quality requirements.
  • Make routine adjustments to rollers, feeders, guides, plates, and other machine components.
  • Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Communicate production issues, material needs, and equipment concerns to supervisors and maintenance personnel.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an envelope adjuster, envelope machine operator, press operator, or similar manufacturing position.
  • Press operator experience strongly preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and adjust production machinery.
  • Experience with setup, make-ready, and machine changeovers.
  • Ability to read work orders, specifications, and measurements.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a production team.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and handle production materials.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Preferred Experience
