Job description

Reports to: Production Control Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and maintain inventory levels of assigned parts within established inventory policies and targets
  • Coordinates the flow of parts between supply base and responsible KNA plant
  • Analyzes forecast demand to plan inventory requirements and releases material orders to meet appropriate inventory targets and support manufacturing processes
  • Expedite material as necessary to meet changing requirements; escalate issues as necessary to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Confers with production personnel to clarify processing methods
  • Edits source data to ensure conformance to pre-determined standards and identifies appropriate errors for review and resolution
  • Responsible for processing requisitions, material release, tracking back orders and maintaining current product information files
  • Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies
  • Authorities for an employee are granted by means of work instructions, policies and procedures and/or direction provided by management to meet the requirements of the customer

Education:

  • High School Education or GED with either two (2) years College

or

  • 1-2 years Procurement experience

Experience:

Two (2) years related work experience preferred

Skills:

Ability to exhibit organizational, interpersonal and mathematical skill level sets to successfully meet the requirements and expectations of this position

Other:

Familiarity with related software applications, ie MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint...etc

Ability to travel as required

Work Environment:

This job operates in an office and manufacturing environment, and routinely uses standard office equipment. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Physical Demands:

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee may also be required to work in hot temperatures.
