This position will work within a team and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and will be based in our Chicago. IL office. We are seeking someone who is capable of performing a multitude of functions while maintaining a focus on safety, customer satisfaction, quality and productivity. This role will require the selected candidate to be in office Monday through Friday 8am - 4:30pm.Key Role and Responsibilities:Raw Material Management: Ensure timely creation of purchase orders, resolve inventory discrepancies, and maintain raw material availabilityScheduling & Forecasting: Maintain weekly production schedules, adjusting quantities based on forecasts and inventory targets.Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials; perform cycle counts on raw materials weekly and on spot basis as neededCommunication: Coordinate and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders such as production supervisors, plant managers, sales team members and supplier's customer service representatives.Initiatives: Provide support for cost out projects and review internally for any optimization opportunities.Skills:High School DiplomaExcellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.Past experience in buying or scheduling, preferably for a manufacturerMicrosoft Office and Microsoft ExcelERP systems, preferably IQMSMath proficiencyThis list is non-exhaustive and may not include all responsibilities.
