The Role
 
As a Production Packaging Technician, you will play a key role in transforming raw cannabis flower into a premium line of finished products. Working under the guidance of the management team, you will be responsible for production, packaging, inventory support, and maintaining strict compliance with regulatory standards. Safety, quality, and efficiency are central to everything you do.
Our client is seeking dependable team players who bring both attention to detail and a strong work ethic in a fast-paced production environment.
 
Essential Functions
  • Meet daily production targets with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Produce high-quality products in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Package and label products in compliance with state regulations
  • Operate and maintain basic production machinery
  • Follow quality control standards throughout all stages of production
  • Manage time effectively to consistently meet performance goals
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Handle cannabis in all stages and forms of the production process
  • Contribute to a positive team environment through professionalism and initiative
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
 
Safety & Compliance
  • Identify and remain aware of workplace hazards
  • Complete and retain required departmental training
  • Report safety incidents or concerns and follow all corrective actions
  • Adhere to safety protocols, state regulations, and PPE requirements
  • Follow GMP, sanitation, biosecurity, and other compliance standards
  • Accurately complete required documentation and recordkeeping
  • Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment as directed
  • Escalate safety or quality concerns as needed
 
Working Conditions
  • Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, grasping, and repetitive motions
  • Ability to climb ladders/stairs and work on elevated platforms
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while maintaining focus
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently (100 lbs with assistance) with care
  • Comfortable working in environments exceeding 85°F with high humidity
  • Ability to work at heights when required
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Daily exposure to potential allergens (e.g., cannabis, tree nuts, coconut oil)
 
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior cannabis experience is not required
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
 
Additional Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must possess a valid state ID
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain required state badging (includes background check and state review)
