Job description

Job Summary:
While in Production activities include but not limited to straightening of dough on pans or boards, feeding bread or bun pans on conveyors, feeding, retrieving or stacking empty pans to put back into system(s).
While in Packaging activities include but not limited to feeding baked products into conveyor slots for slicing prior to bagging, placing finished packaged product in bread trays or corrugated box depending on packaging line. Bread racking and or palletizing. Possible re-wrapping of product and or labeling product.
Job Expectations amp; Requirements (but not limited to):
  • Meet with the Supervision daily to confirm work assignments.
  • Follow all instructions learned in Orientation

  • Work schedule:
    • Generally 6 days a week / 8 -10 hour days
    • Must be able to work full shift
      • Shifts have staggered start times.
        • See specific department requirements
  • All Positions require Union sign up with Bakersโ€™ Union Local No. 19 BCTGM
Uniform amp; Dress Code:
  • Shirt
    • White T-Shirt โ€“ no printing or beads on t-shirt
  • Pants
    • White or Khaki
      • Shorts are permitted, must be knee length
  • Shoes
    • Comfortable full foot shoes (gym shoes or work boots)
      • No open toe shoes allowed
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet all requirements set forth by the company to perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Preferred Education and/or Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5 yearsโ€™ experience preferred in production and or packaging facility
Physical Environment:
  • Pick up and carry a weight of, but not limited to, 50 pounds.
  • Work in high heat and humidity, cooler setting in the winter.
  • Ability to kneel, squat or bend/twist/turn at least 50% of the time.
  • Stand/Walk approximately 90% of the time
  • Efficient finger dexterity
Preferred Language Skills:
  • Understand English and ability to communicate
  • Bilingual a plus
