About the Role:

As a key member of our Production team, you will be responsible for supervising our front-line Team Members with the objective of achieving immediate and short-term goals as outlined by the Production Managers.

What You Will Do:

  • Responsibility for shift scheduling including work station assignments/shift rotations, training, vacations, breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent Team Members
  • Coordinating production startups, shutdowns and changeovers
  • Attaining shift production goals
  • Operating within Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)
  • Communicating with other Shift Supervisors and Plant Managers
  • Responsibility for quality control, adjust as necessary during shift to produce product within specification
  • Participating on Continuous Improvement Teams and implementing changes
  • Providing leadership, direction and seek to empower Team Members
  • Supporting Vistaprint's mission, vision, strategic plan, goals and management decisions
  • Ensuring all Team Members follow Company Health & Safety standards as well as requirements of the Occupational Health & Safety Act as it applies to the manufacturing sector
  • Ensuring all Team Members are trained sufficiently in operating machines and/or tasks and know where the first aid room, kits and other safety equipment are located

What You Need:

  • Secondary education or equivalent experience
  • 3 - 5 years as a Supervisory and or Team Leader overseeing teams of 15 (+) employees/Team Members in a large manufacturing environment is required
  • Proven experience related to lean principles and practices
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures and high volume production machinery and systems
  • Able to work shift work
  • Experience and proven knowledge with Health and Safety Standards and Employment Law
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels and all positions within the organization
  • Driven and energetic with a strong technical background and understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
  • Desire to function in a team based environment with aspirations for personal growth
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and dedication to Team Member morale, customer service, safety, quality and delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize workload and meet deadlines
  • Superior organizational and problem-solving skills

Canada Target Hiring Range: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 Per Year
