Job description

Job Purpose:

The basic function of the Production Operator is to perform duties necessary to accomplish production in a safe, quality driven and efficient manner.

Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):

  • Maintain adherence to all safety guidelines.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through the active promotion of MAC Quality Policy.
  • Strictly follow current Procedures, Work Instructions, Quality Alerts, One Point Lessons, authorized forms and other applicable documentation.
  • Meet or exceed all quality standards.
  • Actively participate in 5S and housekeeping activities to achieve and maintain expectations.
  • Maintain equipment through proper Preventative Maintenance measures as applicable.
  • Complete assigned work in a timely, efficient, and effective manner.
  • Prepare all required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Maintain sufficient training on multiple operations to enhance the flexibility of the Production Department.
  • Promote continual improvement and cost saving opportunities.
  • Maintain prompt and effective communication to assure MAC success.
  • Work under minimal supervision.
  • Work within the guidelines and expectations of MAC Policies and Procedures.
  • Perform other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
  • Continuously demonstrate a positive attitude, teamwork, and cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • High School graduate.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds on a somewhat repetitive basis.
  • Able to bend, stoop, and reach on a somewhat repetitive basis.
  • Able to use and operate tools and equipment consistent with the assigned job.
  • Able to produce and inspect parts with conform to product and quality specifications.
  • Able to work overtime during the week and on weekends as needed; at times this will be necessary on short notice as business conditions change.

  • Able to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
