Job Description:
MISSION
Reeves Construction Company is currently seeking an experienced Motor Grader Operator based out of Vienna, GA location. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. Motor Grader Operator's primary function is to operate all sizes of Motor Graders assisting with all aspect of the grading operation. All Motor Grader Operators are expected to run other equipment such as backhoes and loaders as needed. Motor Grader Operators are also expected to assist in the general operation of each job site.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Must have a basic knowledge of the mechanics and hydraulics of the machine.
  • Must have skills to conduct an inspection checklist on equipment such as tracks, lights, brakes, fuel, oil and water.
  • Must keep equipment serviced, lubricated, and in good working order, including good housekeeping.
  • Must have an understanding of slope and grade stakes information, type of slope (4:1 or 2:1), ditch cut depths, and fill section heights.
  • Must have the ability to operate the vehicle safely in job site situations and follow the policies and procedures of the Company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
