Job description

Job Responsibilities

This position is responsible for various manufacturing duties and tasks which may include but are not limited to fabricating, assembling, repairing, packaging, shipping and support in the Research and Development (R&D) of products.

Production operators shall perform duties and tasks in accordance with company procedures and manuals and associated protocols as assigned by supervision. Many individuals in production are actively involved with R&D efforts to develop and design new products and processes including manufacturing methods and quality improvements. The time allocated to the R&D effort varies per person/position.

Note: Some of the production personnel may have a dual function as production operator and inspector; however, production operators cannot inspect their own work. Where inspection is required, a second inspector will check the work of any inspector working as production personnel.

Work Environment/ Physical Demands

  • Work for this position takes place in an open, clean production area.
  • The individual is required to possess or demonstrate the education equivalency level of 9th grade (US) which would suggest the capability to read, write legibly, speak, and understand English; perform basic arithmetic, such as add, subtract, multiply, and divide; be capable of performing basic data entry, and open / save files.
  • The person shall be capable to understand basic terminology used in their functional job areas; possess acceptable vision (with corrective lenses, as appropriate) and capable of lifting 50 pounds.
  • Regularly required to stand, reach, and move about the facility.
  • Regularly required to walk and retrieve materials.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate PPE during shift.
  • Ability to grasp and manipulate parts, use scissors, knives, and measuring tools.
