Job description

Quanex is looking for a Recycler to join our Materials team located in Kent, Washington.

The Recycler is responsible for working as part of a team receiving and moving materials around the facility, in a safe, timely and efficient manner, focusing on meeting the needs of both internal and external customers.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Operate shredder and grinders to recycle lineal and die flop scrap from Production.
  • Operate pulverizers to efficiently respond to Materials regrind needs.
  • Fill gaylords with various materials from a variety of sources (pulverizers, silos, bags)
  • Transport gaylords of powder/regrind material to and from extruder lines or other designated areas.
  • Drive forklift to perform work tasks – tow/pull cards, move gaylords, etc., throughout the plant.
  • Keep area clean and organized (clean floors, machines)
  • Adhere to established standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines.

What you bring:

  • Previous industrial manufacturing experience, preferred.
  • Previous forklift certification, preferred.
  • Good computer proficiency with the ability to log into systems and enter data timely and accurately.
  • Good ability to read and understand weights and measures.
  • Good detail orientation and math skills, with the ability to review work for accuracy.
  • Ability to perform the physical functions of the job, including lifting up to 40 lbs.

Expected Salary Range: $22.00 - $26.00/hour (DOE) + $1.00 shift differential for nights
