What are production oil rigs?

Production oil rigs are large structures used to extract and process crude oil and natural gas from underground reservoirs beneath the earth’s surface, often located offshore or in remote areas. Workers on production oil rigs perform tasks such as monitoring equipment, maintaining safety protocols, and ensuring the steady flow of oil and gas to pipelines or storage facilities. The work environment can be physically demanding and typically involves extended shifts in challenging conditions.
