Job Description: Lease Connectivity Engineer
Summary:
Meta is seeking a Connectivity Engineer to join the Design Engineering and Construction (DEC) team. This role is pivotal in supporting the physical infrastructure of Meta's global data centers, ensuring seamless connectivity for the delivery of Meta's innovative services. The Connectivity Engineer will manage the full project lifecycle, from initiation to production turnover, ensuring projects are executed on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Control:
Develop and maintain project scope, schedules, and milestones
Collaborate with site construction management teams throughout the project lifecycle
Learnings & Best Practices:
Review ongoing projects for efficiencies and document data points to assist with field coordination
Support the development of project management best practices and coordinate SOPs/SIPs with vendors
Forecasting & Budgeting:
Assist the project controls team with forecasting and budget efforts
Ensure clear communication of project status with all stakeholders
Core Connectivity Scope (from the Lease Playbook):
Manage landlord's OSP Infrastructure, install to design, and dates inserted into lease agreement
Responsible for ensuring rack/patch/stack of the network build is completed to standard
Troubleshooting of network turnup during provisioning
Coordination of ENS/RSE for provisioning
Conduct Meta QA/QC of Connectivity scope
Oversee vendor site-level implementation of Safety Program
Validate designs, artifacts, and deliverables
Support Change Orders Requests and RFI Responses
Good-to-Have Skills:
Experience with Meta or hyperscale data center construction environments
Familiarity with design-build project delivery and constructability reviews
Strong documentation skills (SOPs, SIPs, RFI process management)
Scheduling & risk mitigation expertise - ability to forecast and de-risk project timelines
Self-driven with the ability to make independent decisions in the field without constant oversight
