Position Summary

The Corporate Controller is responsible for the leadership, management, and oversight of all accounting operations for Digger Specialties, Inc. The Controller ensures the integrity of financial reporting, maintains strong internal controls, oversees month-end and year-end close processes, supports operational decision-making through financial analysis, and ensures compliance with all applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies. This position partners closely with executive leadership, plant management, operations, human resources, sales, information technology, and external auditors to support the Company's strategic objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Accounting
  • Direct and oversee all accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable,accounts receivable, fixed assets, and cost accounting.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly and annual financial statementsin accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes and review accountreconciliations and supporting schedules.
  • Analyze financial results and provide meaningful insights regarding operatingperformance, trends, and variances.
Manufacturing & Cost Accounting
  • Oversee all aspects of manufacturing accounting, including standard costing, inventoryvaluation, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor labor, material, and overhead costs and partner with operations leadership to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Support scheduled standard cost updates and ensure the integrity of product costinginformation across all manufacturing locations.
Internal Controls & Compliance
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor internal control systems designed to safeguard companyassets and ensure financial integrity.
  • Coordinate external audits and support compliance with accounting standards, taxrequirements, lender reporting, and company policies.
  • Maintain accounting policies and procedures and ensure consistent application across the organization.
Financial Planning & Business Support
  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process by working closely with plant anddepartment leaders.
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting, working capital management, capital expenditureanalysis, and strategic financial planning.
  • Provide financial analysis and decision support to executive management on operationaland strategic initiatives.
Leadership & Process Improvement
  • Lead, develop, and mentor members of the accounting team while fostering a culture ofaccountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, financial reporting, and systemfunctionality through automation and technology enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support company objectives and driveoperational excellence.
Other Duties
  • Perform other duties and special projects assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.
Working Conditions
  • Primarily office-based environment.
  • Occasional travel to manufacturing facilities and other company locations.
