Maintenance Technician
Maintenance Technician
Summary:
This position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. This is an hourly position. Overtime is mandatory as required and during peak production periods. In addition to the listed responsibilities, there may be other responsibilities as determined by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical guidance and liaison to operational departments
  • Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance on the following equipment based on pre-determined schedules:
  • Injection molding machines
  • Dryers
  • Air Compressors
  • Chillers
  • Cooling tower
  • All auxiliary equipment
  • Check air filters in vents on a monthly basis
  • Verify, on a monthly schedule, fire extinguishers and emergency lighting are operating properly (back up for Janitor)
  • Ensure all equipment and machines are in proper working order
  • Maintain building and facilities
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of machine shop equipment
  • For safety reasons, must wear long pants
  • Clean pump by-pass filters and restart water tower after power outages
  • Assist in set up of molds / mold changes
  • Assist with switching on heats, molds controllers, chiller lines, and work area lighting
  • Assist with the set up of all secondary fixtures that accompany mold changes
  • Monitor molding processes on automatic presses when specified by Production Supervisor
  • Assist in relief of operators for lunches and breaks when required Assume material handling responsibilities when necessary
  • Assume machine operator duties when necessary
  • Implement and maintain necessary procedures and work instructions for compliance to ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949
  • Forklift training and operation mandatory
  • Complete other projects as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor
  • Promote a positive and productive attitude with all customers and towards all employees of Atlantis Industries

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times.

  • Manufacturing environment with associated noises, smells and temperatures
