 Production Line OperatorAbout Kumho Tire Georgia

Kumho Tire is a global tire manufacturer with more than 60 years of experience delivering high-performance tires and innovative tire technology to customers worldwide. Our Macon, Georgia manufacturing facility combines advanced manufacturing equipment, automation, quality systems, and skilled production teams to manufacture high-quality tires.

We are seeking dependable Production Line Operators to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on production position responsible for operating manufacturing equipment, supporting automated production processes, supplying materials, performing quality inspections, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Work Schedule
  • Full-time manufacturing position
  • 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
  • Employees rotate between day shift and night shift every 28 days
  • Regular and consistent attendance is required
What You'll Do

As a Production Line Operator, you will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment producing high-performance tires. Responsibilities include:

  • Safely operate manufacturing machinery, production equipment, and automated equipment according to established procedures.
  • Supply machine operators and production areas with raw materials and other materials needed to maintain production.
  • Monitor manufacturing equipment and make appropriate adjustments to maintain product quality and efficient operation.
  • Identify equipment or production issues and perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments.
  • Work with Maintenance Technicians when mechanical or equipment issues require additional support.
  • Perform quality inspections and identify products or processes that do not meet established quality standards.
  • Take appropriate action when quality or production issues are identified.
  • Monitor production performance and accurately record manufacturing data and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain clean and organized production equipment and work areas in accordance with 5S workplace organization standards.
  • Follow established manufacturing procedures, work instructions, safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all plant safety policies.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, maintenance personnel, and other production team members.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to safety, quality, productivity, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Perform additional production and manufacturing duties as assigned.

  • Ability to operate and monitor manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to identify quality problems and follow procedures for correcting or reporting issues.
  • Ability to accurately complete production documentation and record manufacturing data.

  • Ability and willingness to work a rotating 12-hour day/night schedule.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position works inside an active tire manufacturing facility that is NOT climate controlled. The manufacturing plant operates year-round, and employees should be prepared to work in conditions that change with the seasons.

  • The production environment will be hot and humid during summer months and will be cold during the winter.
  • Employees work around operating manufacturing machinery, production equipment, and industrial processes that may generate additional heat.
  • This is a year-round manufacturing operation, and employees must be comfortable working in changing seasonal temperatures and environmental conditions.
  • Walk and stand for prolonged periods during a 12-hour shift.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, reach, and perform other movements associated with manufacturing work.
  • Perform manual lifting as required by the position.
  • Work around industrial manufacturing machinery and production equipment.
  • Wear all required PPE and consistently follow plant safety procedures.
