Established in 1980, Oregon Spice Company provides premium herbs, spices, and custom blends to food manufacturers and foodservice distributors. We are a locally owned company located in NE Portland near the airport. We pride ourselves on quality, safety, and creating a supportive workplace where employees grow long-term.


Position Summary

The Production Associate supports daily manufacturing operations by filling, labeling, and staging finished products according to customer specifications and production requirements. This role ensures accuracy, traceability, and adherence to food safety and quality standards.

This is a hands-on, physical role in a food manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

Fill containers with product according to specifications

Weigh product accurately using scales

Label and package finished goods based on work orders

Record lot numbers and production information

Stage finished products in appropriate locations

Read and follow work orders and production instructions

Maintain accurate documentation for traceability

Follow GMP, SOP, and SSOP procedures

Maintain clean and sanitary work areas and equipment

Report any safety, quality, or food safety concerns

Assist other departments as needed


Qualifications

Required
Ability to lift up to 50–60 lbs

Basic math, reading, and writing skills

Ability to follow written instructions and procedures

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift

Team-oriented mindset

Preferred
Food manufacturing or packaging experience

Warehouse or production experience
