About the Role: 

As a Production Associate in our cream cheese facility, you will be an essential member of the team, helping to create high-quality schmear while ensuring smooth, efficient operations. You’ll be involved in every step of production — from pulling and mixing ingredients to packaging and storing finished products — all while upholding strict cleanliness and food safety standards. This role gives you the opportunity to build hands-on experience, strengthen leadership skills, and thrive in a fast-paced culinary environment. Location: On-site at Marietta, GA facility. 

Role status: Non-exempt, hourly. 

Essential Responsibilities 

  • Measure, mix, and blend ingredients following established cream cheese recipes and formulations. 

  • Operate and monitor mixers, pasteurizers, and filling/packaging machinery to maintain consistent product quality. 

  • Adjust processing equipment settings to control product texture, consistency, and yield. 

  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) protocols. 

  • Conduct in-process checks (temperature, pH, weight, packaging integrity) and record results accurately. 

  • Ensure all finished products meet safety and quality standards before packaging. 

  • Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and production areas according to strict sanitation schedules. 

  • Maintain a clean work environment to prevent contamination or cross-contact of allergens. 

  • Dispose of waste and byproducts properly, following facility protocols. 

  • Fill, seal, and label cream cheese containers according to specifications. 

  • Inspect packaging for defects and remove defective products from the production line. 

  • Assist in preparing finished goods for storage or shipment. 

  • Communicate equipment issues, safety concerns, or deviations to supervisors immediately. 

Education and Experience Requirements: 

  • Previous experience working in a production environment. 

  • Previous experience working with heavy production machinery. 

  • Work collaboratively with other production associates to maintain smooth workflow. 

  • Provide support across shifts or departments as production needs change. 

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.  

  • Ability to be on time for scheduled shifts and demonstrate reliability in the workplace. 

  • Demonstrated adaptability, and the willingness to roll up your sleeves and pitch in wherever necessary.

  • The ability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional second shifts. 

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time on concrete or other hard surfaces. 

  • Regularly required to use hands, arms, and fingers to handle, reach, lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment. 

  • Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds independently and occasionally up to 75 pounds with assistance or mechanical support. 

  • Capability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb as necessary to access equipment or perform tasks. 

  • Visual acuity and manual dexterity required to operate machinery, read gauges, and perform quality inspections. 

  • Tolerance for working in environments with variable temperatures, noise levels, and exposure to dust or manufacturing materials. 

  • Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment and follow all safety procedures.
