POSITION INFORMATION

As a Production Team Member, you will be performing a variety of work in general production to ensure that the standards are met and a quality product is an output. You are expected to be responsible for retrieving and hanging loose garments on hangers, sorting garments to ensure accuracy on routes, folding and bundling towels and bar mops, rolling mats and distributing them into appropriate carts, unloading soiled products, and counting production orders for billing and accuracy. In addition to those, you will also sort hangers and mend garments as needed. Being in this position also means that you are required to have regular and reliable attendance at work.


SHIFT

  • Monday-Thursday: 6AM-3:30PM
  • Friday: 6AM - Most of the time until noon.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Employees in this position are responsible for retrieving and hanging loose garments onto hangers so that they can go through the steam tunnel.
  • Sort garments to ensure accuracy on routes.
  • Folding and bundling towels and bar mops.
  • Roll mats and distribute them into the appropriate carts. Distribute carts/mats to appropriate routes to ensure accuracy.
  • Unload soiled products and count for billing and production accuracy.
  • Sort hangers as needed.
  • Mend garments as needed.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • This position requires regular and reliable attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prefer previous production experience, but not required.
  • Physical demands may or may not include the following: ability to continuously stand, bend, rotate trunk, reach out and/or up, lift and/or carry, climbing and grasping.
  • Must also be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail is preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
