Summary of Primary Functions: Directs and assist bed crew in setting up and pouring a bed and insures that all cables, steel pieces and other materials are properly placed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Daily review of shop cards for days pour, and plan required preparations to set up bed.
  • Communicates with appropriate support employees to insure that all necessary materials are brought to the bed.
  • Directs the crew as to the correct locations of all wood, steel and other materials.
  • Continually checks the layout of the bed with daily shop cards throughout the shift to ensure accurate construction of concrete member.
  • Directing and assisting employees to ensure that concrete member has correct finish.
  • Insures that crew members appropriately strip bed, cleaning, oiling, placing bulkheads, plates, rebar, etc. throughout the shift.
  • Help or assist with daily toolbox, production and/or safety meetings.
  • Works as a production team member by being responsible for any additional duties that the Production Supervisor describes are needed to meet the production deadlines.

Job Specifications or Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Previous experience in finishing concrete is required.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
