Production Forming Fabricator -St. Charles, MO 


POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a Forming Fabricator. In this role, fabricators work independently and alongside a team to perform processes necessary to efficiently and effectively fabricate detailed parts. The ideal candidate is a productive, contributing, and responsible team member who supports quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives. Payrate: $19/hr

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Follow all company and work center-specific production, administrative, and safety policies and procedures
  • Attend and actively participate in all required training
  • Review manufacturing planning, engineering data, and instructions to understand processes and quality requirements
  • Set up and operate machinery including hydraulic shear, chop saws, and forklifts
  • Select, align, and secure fixtures, tools, and materials
  • Monitor machine operations and adjust controls as necessary
  • Use gauges, calipers, blueprints, and measuring tools to ensure quality standards
  • Obtain first-piece approval and complete full production runs
  • Perform inspections and adhere to statistical process control requirements
  • Report discrepancies in production times or processes to leadership
  • Conduct minor machine maintenance and ensure proper equipment condition
  • Complete required documentation (production counts, labor tracking, quality checks, etc.)
  • Tear down setups and return tools/equipment properly after production runs
  • Move completed parts to the next stage of production
  • Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and workflow
  • Participate in team meetings and process improvement discussions
  • Maintain professionalism in all communications and transactions
  • Ensure confidentiality when working with vendors, materials, and processes
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Candidates without a diploma may be required to complete a pre-employment assessment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to use measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and tolerances
  • Basic math skills required
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and workflow efficiency
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Work in environments with varying noise levels (quiet to loud)
  • Must wear required PPE (eye, ear, foot protection, etc.)
  • Ability to lift and/or move 10–50 pounds as needed
SCHEDULE
  • Mon-Thur
  • Training starting on 1st shift 6am-4:30pm
  • Moving to 2nd shift once training is completed 4pm-2:30am
  • OT Worked on Friday and Saturday
  • Long term temp assignment 
  • Payrate: $19/hr
