Job Summary

This position requires the employee to support the company's mission of creating a wonderful experience for our customers and to put forth the effort to meet production demands. This position requires the employee to be fully functional in all areas of the Hot Melt operation and is also responsible for the daily cleaning, inspection, operating and monitoring of specific Hot Melt equipment.

Essential Job Functions

Sets up machine (Film line/Tape line) to treat composite fabrics with resin (final product - prepreg) per written customer specifications.

Monitors material in process for potential quality defects.

Labels and disposes correctly of chemicals when required.

Labels material, packages, and stores in freezer.

Dispose of hazardous waste, solvents and non-hazardous waste.

Performs routine cleaning of Hot Melt Equipment and general work area.

Other Job Duties

Other job duties as assigned.

Assist Slitter Operators as needed.

Education/Experience/Skills Required

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Minimum one (1) to two (2) years experience in manufacturing environment preferred.

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English well.

Must be able to follow written instructions (English) and possess good basic math skills.

Accurate computer entry skills.

Experience working in a chemical environment preferred.

Physical Requirements

Individual required to be sighted.

Job requires frequent lifting of product/supplies ranging from minimal to 50 pounds on frequent basis.

Individual will be required to be mobile, with frequent bending, standing, walking, reaching, kneeling, stooping and crouching. Must be able to grasp and move objects.

Safety

Must wear Safety shoes, safety glasses and a Tyvek suit

Must pass a PFT and be able to wear a full face respirator.

Training Requirements

Training to applicable procedures that relate to area of responsibility.
