Job Overview for Production Associate s
The Lee Group is looking for Production Associate s to work at one of our valued clients in Newport News, VA. Production Associate s are essential part of the production process, working on the line to produce high-quality food products that meet the company's stringent standards. Some responsibilities of Production Associate s will include handling and processing frozen food products, ensuring that production runs smoothly, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. If you are someone who is detail-oriented, can work efficiently in a fast-paced setting, and is comfortable with heavy-lifting and physical tasks , we encourage you to apply!
Job Responsibilities of Production Associate s
  • Open boxes of frozen fish and place them on the production line.
  • Separate frozen fish portions and evenly distribute them across a conveyor belt. Remove any portions that are the incorrect size or shape.
  • Package fish into plastic bags and boxes. Use sealing equipment to secure the boxes.
  • Assemble boxes on the assembly line.
  • Monitor the quality, size, and shape of fish portions as assigned.
  • Maintain cleanliness by sweeping the floor, cleaning the work area, and disposing of refuse.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications of Production Associate s
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Ability to regularly lift 50 - 66 lbs.
  • Adaptability to changing work environments and tasks.

  • This role requires regular sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, climbing, and bending.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 66 pounds.

Shift Details ( note: actual shift times are typically 8hrs but the right candidate will have the following availability ):
  • 1 st shift availability required: 5:30am - 4:00pm
  • 2 nd shift availability required: 3:00pm - 1:00am
