Production Associate
SpecChem, LLC supplies and services the concrete distributor network with quality construction chemicals that provide performance and value to the industry.
We are seeking an intelligent, energetic candidate for a full-time Production Associate position in our Harleyville, SC facility.
Job Summary: The position starts by operating the bagging machine and will also be responsible for packaging and stacking finished products, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring quality control. Once these responsibilities are performed successfully, associates move into liquid production and operating forklifts. This role requires adherence to safety protocols and the ability to work efficiently within standard operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate the bagging machine to package powders accurately and efficiently.
• Package and stack finished manufactured products efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and productive environment.
• Operate forklifts to move finished products throughout the facility.
• Adhere to safety protocols by turning off and locking out equipment when not in use.
• Transport waste from the assembly line to designated dumpsters.
• Follow standard operating procedures for all tasks and equipment usage.
• Perform quality control checks to ensure that no damaged products are shipped and that no damaged raw materials are accepted.
• Prepare finished products for shipping, including shrink wrapping, boxing, and labeling.
• Stage products for loading and assist in the loading process as needed.
• Provide support in other areas as required by the production team.
Qualifications:
• Be dependable. This position requires consistent attendance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment physical exam.
• Must be able to pass a respiratory fit test and wear a respirator as required by the position and in accordance with OSHA respiratory protection standards
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 75 pounds.
  • Repetitive lifting of 50 pounds up to 50 percent of the day.
