Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Use the company ERP system effectively and consistently to enter new orders, maintain accurate production information, and support reliable workflow execution.

• Ensure new orders are complete and accurate, including routings, documentation, material selection, pricing, and delivery expectations.

• Process order modifications, cancellations, and expedited requests in a timely manner while communicating updates quickly to the appropriate teams.

• Lead production planning activities across multiple programs, balancing capacity, material availability, customer commitments, and schedule demands.

• Interpret and act on MRP action messages to support procurement decisions, rescheduling, and timely work order releases.

• Partner with inventory management and procurement teams to confirm material availability, coordinate material receipt, and support on-time delivery.

• Monitor and manage work order execution, proactively addressing material shortages, engineering changes, and shifting priorities.

• Respond promptly to customer requests related to feasibility, lead times, order status, and quotations.

• Communicate effectively across Machine Shop teams to support smooth throughput, alignment on priorities, and timely issue resolution.

• Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on Production Control processes, including leading small improvement projects as needed.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, operations, finance, accounting, computer science, or a related field; or a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in production scheduling, production planning, customer service, sales, or a related manufacturing support role.

• Experience working within an Enterprise Resource Planning system, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and blueprints.

• Experience coordinating cross-functional tasks or supporting teams across production, procurement, engineering, quality, or customer-facing functions.

• Demonstrated ability to use a structured approach to problem-solving and follow-through.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Clear and effective communication skills, including the ability to present information to internal teams and stakeholders.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and comfort working with analytical tools.

Desired Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in production planning, customer service, business development, project management, or a related manufacturing support role.

• Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP or a similar manufacturing ERP system.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with production staff, engineering, procurement, quality, customer service, and management.

• Demonstrated ability to drive follow-up, resolve issues, and support continuous improvement efforts across functions.
