Job description

Job Title: Production Supervisor (2nd Shift: 2:00pm - 10:10pm)

Department: BAL Operations

Reports to: Production Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt


Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Production Supervisor to lead our Final Side operations along side the Subside Production Supervisor, overseeing a team of approximately 10 employees. This role is responsible for driving productivity, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a safe, team-oriented work environment in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team to meet daily production goals and performance expectations
  • Plan, schedule, and assign personnel to ensure efficient production flow
  • Monitor production performance, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements
  • Enforce standardized work, quality procedures, and safety protocols
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, ensuring proper use of PPE and equipment
  • Train team members and ensure required skill levels are achieved and sustained
  • Collaborate with quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Support production needs by adjusting priorities and stepping in as needed
  • Oversee staffing of machines and processes to ensure optimal efficiency
  • Manage employee time, attendance, and scheduling through ADP
  • Coordinate jig changes, first-piece verification, and communication of quality alerts

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in an automotive or JIS environment
  • Strong understanding of standardized work, quality systems (IATF 16949), and manufacturing processes
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and build a strong team
  • Solid problem-solving and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of basic math concepts (fractions, ratios, proportions)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer use
  • Forklift and First Responder certification (or willingness to obtain)

Education:

  • Associate degree preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours)
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
  • Flexibility to work weekends and rotating shifts as needed
