Job description

The Worker I, Production performs a variety of tasks involved in the manufacturing and packaging of products. This role supports production operations by ensuring products are processed, packed, and handled according to quality, safety, and specification standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of production and manufacturing tasks as assigned.
  • Pack, straighten, and count products to specification.
  • Monitor and assist in identifying foreign materials.
  • Notify supervisor or line leader of abscesses or product issues (if applicable).
  • Notify supervisor of any mechanical, material, or safety issues.
  • Rotate through various positions and departments as needed based on production demands.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Comply with all company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and safety procedures.
  • Adhere to quality and food safety standards at all times.
  • Work in various areas of the plant as required by production needs.
  • Maintain punctuality and reliable attendance.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Production, manufacturing, or warehouse experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to complete required Quality and Safety training.

Competencies and Skills:
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, repetitive work environment.
  • Good communication skills, including basic reading, writing, and math abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and within a diverse workforce.
