Job Title: SHIFT PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
The Production Supervisor oversees the production operations and ensures that the process is carried out smoothly and efficiently. The Production Supervisor emphasizes on job duties such as - setting weekly or monthly production targets and communicating the same to the employees, organizing workflow, delegating responsibilities, ensuring safe equipment usage, scheduling regular maintenance, ensuring that the output matches with the specifications, submitting performance reports, identifying efficiency issues, suggesting improvements, training new employees, and educating on safe use of machinery.
Job Summary:
Supervise employees in the Production of all products, obtaining the highest productivity and quality while maintaining a safe work environment.
Typical Duties:
  • Advance plan and run production in the different departments based upon scheduled ship dates and specifications, obtaining the highest possible level of productivity and quality while promoting a safe work environment.
  • Promote "No Lost Time" accidents and assure safety training requirements are met and completed.
  • Secure and furnish efficient working tools and supplies for employees.
  • Maintain efficient material flow and material utilization.
  • Maintain best possible working relationship between self, employees, and management by, maintaining and reviewing all personnel problems with management, enforcing company rules, regulations and safety and reviewing and assisting in the hiring of new employees.
  • Train, assign and instruct workers with required machines, tools, and job requirements.
  • Help maintain a favorable cost of goods by reporting and correcting problems causing cost over-runs.
  • Assist manufacturing in scheduling work, notifying them immediately of any possible delays.
  • Maintain self and department while promoting "Teamwork" throughout the shift and plant.
  • Help maintain sufficient inventory of raw materials.
  • Assure minimum production downtime.
  • Maintain prompt, accurate and complete production and quality reports.
  • Review timecards daily to assure proper allocation and payment for hours worked.
  • Assure good housekeeping throughout plant.
  • Help maintain proper maintenance and preventative maintenance for all equipment.

Experience:
At least 2 years in a Leadership role. Basic problem solving/ troubleshooting knowledge. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively. Demonstrate leadership skills, ability to effectively train, assign, and monitor production associates. Basic mechanical skills relating to how machinery works
