POSITION: Production Associate - Roasting Facility

CLASSIFICATION:  Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Production & Fulfillment Manager

COMPENSATION: $20.00/Hour

Position Summary
Reporting to the Production and Fulfillment Manager, the Production Associate will support Equator’s operations by fulfilling orders accurately and timely. A successful candidate has a strong work ethic, is detail-oriented, proactive, has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and enjoys physical work. We’re looking for an experienced Production Associate with flexible availability — the shift is not yet determined and may include early mornings or Sunday coverage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a fast-paced team to fulfill wholesale and retail orders accurately and efficiently
  • Learn to use and successfully operate the weigh and fill machines, band sealers, scales, grinders, label applicators, and label printers.
  • Learn the operation of the Entrada E2 Portion Pack machine.
  • Restocking inventory.
  • Communicate with team members on a regular basis to ensure accurate fulfillment and production
  • Cleaning & organization of work areas and basic equipment maintenance.
  • Show initiative, present a positive & professional attitude, be adaptable, and a willingness to learn and take direction

 Physical Requirements
The following physical demands outline the requirements necessary for employees to effectively carry out the essential functions of this position. Please note that The Roastery operates in a non-climate-controlled environment, subjecting employees to varying temperatures, including heat during the summer and cold during the winter.

During the performance of duties, employees are expected to engage in regular communication, auditory perception, and reading tasks. Reasonable accommodations will be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to fulfill essential job functions. This role is dynamic and involves prolonged periods of standing (or being on one's feet for up to 8 hours), walking, bending, stooping, climbing ladders, and crouching throughout the shift. Additionally, employees will be required to lift products and packaging overhead and may frequently handle items weighing between 25 and 70 pounds. Essential vision capabilities for this role encompass close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Furthermore, adept finger and wrist dexterity are essential for successful performance in this position.
