the "gold standard" for ease of installation, ease of operation, quality and durability. Our warehouse pallet racking solutions are used in major installations for many Fortune 500 companies.
We are looking to hire a Manufacturing Production Technician proficient in the Mandarin language to support our Piedmont, AL manufacturing operations. Under general supervision, the Manufacturing Production Technician will apply various technologies to install, test, modify, maintain and repair manufacturing machinery and equipment. This position will have the ability to convert oral speech and written text from English to Chinese (Mandarin) in a variety of contexts related to industrial machine design specifications.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Ensures quality and consistency in production processes by assessing, modifying, and/or calibrating equipment.
  • Ensure efficiency and productivity by evaluating and modifying production processes and/or equipment.
  • Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves issues with equipment, devices, or products; uses precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to adjust.
  • Gather and arrange materials.
  • Assists manufacturing operations with tasks related to development, construction, and evaluation of prototypes, new products, operations, and/or procedures.
  • Drafts and maintains production logs, inventories, documentation, and reports including those outlining procedures, batch records, inventory, productivity, changeover, and progress.
  • Ensures compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Carefully listens to or reads content and acronyms in Mandarin.
    • Understands and analyzes what is being said or written in Mandarin, and effectively and accurately translates the message, intent, and nuances being communicated.
    • Reproduces statements or questions in English.
    • Facilitates effective communication among individuals, companies, or other interested parties.
    • Attend all required mutual meetings where translation may be needed.
    • Gathers, develops, and maintains lists of terminology and information that may be used in technical translations such as industrial materials.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin, with proven ability to clearly communicate with technical support teams, engineering, maintenance, and operations management.
