Job description

About Reunion

Reunion is transforming the way clean energy projects are financed. Since 2024, our tax credit transfer business has partnered with major corporations to unlock over $8 billion in clean energy investment, including some of the industry's largest transactions. Our compliance business is building disruptive software for developers to track operations and ensure regulatory compliance.

Reunion has built a consistently profitable company, focused on building for the long term. We raised a small seed round of funding in 2023, and have since repaid our investors in full. We do not have pressure from VCs or outside investors to chase short-term targets; we have the autonomy to focus on building a great long-term business. Reunion's laser focus on solving tough problems has resulted in repeat customers and strong profitability since 2024.

We have worked hard to build a mission-driven company culture that values creativity, collaboration, excellence, and speed without sacrificing fun. Our talented team includes experienced leaders from SunEdison, SolarCity, Tesla, GoodLeap, and other clean energy companies; we are consistently amazed by what our 30+ person team of experts can accomplish.

We look for curious, smart, and kind colleagues with an entrepreneurial streak (we have quite a few ex-entrepreneurs on our team). Reunion is a great place to learn from energy finance experts and play a critical role in deploying clean energy technologies such as battery storage, nuclear, manufacturing, solar, and wind.

About the Role

In 2025, we launched a software solution that helps clean energy companies comply with complex rules including prevailing wage and apprenticeship (PWA) requirements and other requirements. We have rapidly gained traction in the market, and we’re growing our team to accelerate adoption and expand to additional software offerings. Join us in the fight against climate change by helping renewable energy developers build faster!

We're looking for a high-performance, driven Business Development Associate to fuel our growth. You'll own outbound prospecting and top-of-funnel pipeline development, with a clear path to taking on deeper customer relationships and strategic work as you grow.

This is a great fit if you're 3 to 5 years into your career, have a natural instinct for sales, and want to grow fast inside a profitable company with real mission alignment. You'll develop deep knowledge of the clean energy landscape and build relationships with developers, EPCs, and project owners across the country.

What You’ll Do
  • Build and own a pipeline of qualified leads across solar, wind, battery storage, and other renewable energy segments, from initial research through outreach and first contact
  • Engage directly with clean energy developers, EPCs, and project owners to understand their challenges and win their business
  • Support and progressively lead product demos, owning discovery, qualification, and follow-up as you develop product fluency
  • Develop genuine expertise in clean energy finance rules including prevailing wage and apprenticeship requirements, so you can hold substantive conversations with technical and finance-oriented buyers
  • Partner with senior BD team members on account strategy, deal progression, and pipeline reviews
  • Contribute to sales playbooks, outreach templates, and processes that make the whole team more effective
  • Represent Reunion at industry conferences and events, building relationships with developers and stakeholders across the clean energy market
What You’ll Need
  • 3 to 5 years of work experience: B2B SaaS, clean energy, finance, consulting, or a fast-moving startup are all relevant backgrounds
  • Strong written communicator: you can write a cold email that actually gets a response
  • Organized and self-directed: comfortable managing your own queue without a lot of hand-holding
  • Genuine curiosity about the clean energy transition and how policy shapes markets
  • Proficiency with HubSpot or a similar CRM, and comfort with LinkedIn and sales tools
  • Experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) to accelerate research and outreach
Nice to Haves
  • Exposure to clean energy project finance or construction
  • Prior experience in an outbound sales or SDR/BDR role selling software
  • Familiarity with Apollo, Sales Navigator, or similar prospecting tools
  • Experience at an early-stage startup
  • Experience at an accounting or consulting firm
Why Join Us?
  • Help scale one of the most exciting and impactful clean energy finance companies in the industry
  • Work directly with experienced founders and a top-tier team
  • Competitive compensation and early-stage equity
  • Benefits including full medical, dental, and vision insurance for employee and partial coverage for dependents
  • Generous 401K match, travel to company offsites 2-3x per year to meet teammates in-person, flexible PTO plan
Note

Reunion is an equal opportunity employer. If you’re excited about helping accelerate the energy transition, even if your background doesn’t check every box, we encourage you to apply
