Are you an experienced CNC Machinist who enjoys both setting up and operating CNC equipment? Do you take pride in producing precision-machined components while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety?

We're looking for a CNC Machinist (Setup & Operator) to join our second shift team. This role is ideal for someone with strong setup experience who is comfortable working independently, troubleshooting machining issues, and producing high-quality parts in a custom manufacturing environment.


What You'll Do

As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for the complete setup and operation of CNC machine tools to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform complete machine setups, including tooling, fixtures, offsets, and program verification.
  • Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, horizontal mills, VBM machines, and other CNC equipment.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions.
  • Verify dimensions using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other inspection tools.
  • Produce parts that meet quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Identify machining or quality issues and work with supervisors, engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve them.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine machine care.
  • Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate production records.
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies, ISO quality procedures, and environmental standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience
  • Experience performing complete machine setup and operation
  • Experience with editing CNC programming is required
  • Strong experience with:
    • CNC Milling
    • CNC Turning
    • Horizontal Milling
    • Vertical Boring Mills (VBM)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances
  • Strong understanding of precision measuring instruments and metrology
  • Ability to select and install tooling, fixtures, and workholding
  • Knowledge of conventional milling and turning is considered an asset
  • Graduate of a technical school or equivalent experience
