Job description

Job Title: Production Associate

Work Hours: 1st shift, 2nd or 3rd shift (8-hour shifts)

Overview:
 The Machine Operator is a skilled professional who focuses on the use of heavy machinery to complete the manufacturing process of turning raw materials into nonwoven products.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  •  Operate all equipment efficiently and safely
  •  Produce exceptional product that meets or exceeds specifications 
  • Set up manufacturing equipment for daily production schedule
  •  Propose improvements to the process or machines as needed
  •  Understand the operating procedures for equipment 
  • Maintain equipment and machinery to maximize production and minimize downtime 
  • Training and overseeing other employees on machines
  •  Reporting safety hazards on the line or facility Document and record production and quality information as necessary 
QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS ABILITIES 
  • 2 Years previous experience in a manufacturing facility 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude 
  • Great communication skill and able to work and train all other positions on the line
  •  Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot potential issues 
  • Ability to lead a team and train other employees, as needed 
  • Resourcefulness in learning new processes and procedures and able to implement and train others
  •  Outstanding attention to detail with the ability to understand mechanics and technical tasks
  • Ability to identify issues or problems in operations 
  • Proactive in preventing production or mechanical downtime occurrences 
  • Proven leadership ability 
  • Good organizational skills
 
Physical Requirements: Must be able to continuously stand and/or walk for extended periods on concrete surfaces. Ability to repeatedly kneel, bend, crouch, and/or stoop throughout the shift as needed to successfully perform job duties. Ability to work in extremely hot and cold temperature Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
