Job Description

The Machine Operator is an important member of the team that builds our products. This position produces high-quality linear energetic product in accordance with specific engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions.Machine Operators are responsible for safety,quality and delivery ofproducts for ourAerospace and Defense markets. This role will report to the Production Supervisor of Linear & Transfer Systems in our Simsbury, CT.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform fabrication of linear energetic product as defined in Manufacturing Instructions using both machinery and tools
  • Operate machines that load, swage, draw and form linear energetic product
  • Operate machines that extrude and braid protective layers over linear energetic product
  • Clean, measure, cut, sample, spool, coil and pack product
  • Maintain quality and accuracy requirements

Requirements:

  • Must pass aptitude test
  • Excels in a dynamic, changeable work environment; Energetic and positive; Ability to work independently
  • High School diploma
  • Minimum of 1 year of applicable work experience
  • Ability to read and understand written instructions in English
  • Contribute towardscontinuous improvement initiatives
  • Must be able to pass company administered competency test
  • Demonstrate capability to use basic measuring tools (caliper, micrometer, etc.)
  • Background using 5S/Lean Manufacturing principles (preferred)
