Job Overview

We are currently looking for a qualified machine operator in our North York location at 774 Supertest Rd for the Afternoon shift; Monday to Thursday 3:30pm to 2am 

A Day In The Life
  • At beginning of shift - set up machine control panel
  • Check parts to tolerances from print using a caliper on a constant basis
  • Record tolerances every two hours on Quality Assurance Report
  • If tolerances are out, stop machine and adjust accordingly (changing tools or moving units)
  • Lift material onto machine, one bar at a time when required.  Bar length 12' to 16'.
  • Empty chip bin when full. 
  • Move drum of parts to shipping area using drum dolly when full or job is complete.  Quantity is on print. 
  • Before moving drum to shipping, write up shipping label w/Catalog #, Part #, Shop Order #, Revision # from print and place inside drum. 
  • Move material on buggy from shipping to machine. 
  • Cleaning chips in machine compartment - step up on platform & small stool, remove safety covers. 
  • Keep area around machine clean. 
  • Lifting required: 
    • Waist to shoulder - continuously
    • adjust machine accordingly during production process
    • checking parts w/caliper
    • above shoulder - overhead - reaching
      • every 5 minutes - lift 2 to 3 bars above shoulder

  • Must be able to communicate in English (verbal and written)
