Key responsibilities

  • Build and proof emails, texts, and ad campaigns across various platforms, ensuring accuracy and functionality before going live.

  • Upload, segment, maintain audience lists and data files, troubleshoot data issues, and set up A/B tests for email, text, and ad content.

  • Pull and compile performance data into reports, keep production calendars and trackers current, and handle routine website updates.

Job description

About Precinct

Precinct delivers expert consulting services for Democratic campaigns. We lead and run end-to-end grassroots fundraising programs that put campaigns and winning first, not our bottom line.

The Role

We're hiring a Digital Production Associate to build and launch email, text, and ad sends, manage audience data and uploads, keep our website and landing pages up to date, and support reporting across our client accounts. This is a collaborative, hands-on role. In addition:

  • The position is fully remote and reports to the Senior Advisor.
  • As Precinct grows, so does the role.
  • The annual salary is $60,000 + benefits.

Responsibilities

You will work with our digital fundraising team on executing our programs, including:

  • Building and launching sends: Build and proof emails, texts, and ad campaigns across our CRMs and platforms (NGP VAN, ActionKit, Action Network, Switchboard, Meta, Google), ensuring accuracy and functionality before anything goes live.
  • Managing data and audiences: Upload, segment, and maintain audience lists and data files across our CRMs; troubleshoot data issues (formatting, merge fields, list hygiene) as they come up.
  • Setting up tests: Set up A/B tests for email, text, and ad content, and track results as they come in.
  • Updating and maintaining our website: Handle routine website updates and flag any technical issues to the right team member.
  • Vendor and platform coordination: Coordinate with texting and ad vendors on builds, sends, and troubleshooting.
  • Reporting: Pull and compile performance data into up-to-date reports; keep production calendars and trackers current across clients.
  • Quality control: Proof teammates' builds before they ship — checking links, merge fields, formatting, and more.
  • Supporting creative execution as needed: light copy edits or draft support for scripts, static/video concepts, and email/text content, in collaboration with the team.

Who We're Looking For

The trait we screen hardest for: relentless attention to detail. You catch the copy error on Meta before it goes live, spot a trend that improves ad efficiency across accounts, and know which clients hate em-dashes and Oxford commas.

You want to build something that lasts. This work isn't a résumé line for you — you care about getting Democratic campaigns the resources they need to win, and about pushing the digital fundraising space toward a smarter, campaign-first model. You're in it for the long-term impact, not the next job.

Qualifications

  • You have 1+ years of hands-on production experience with the tools of the trade (NGP VAN, ActionKit, Action Network, ActBlue, Switchboard) — building sends, segmenting audiences, uploading and cleaning data, and launching A/B tests.
  • You're comfortable working across multiple CRMs and platforms at once, and you pick up new tools quickly.
  • You have experience with routine website updates — landing pages, donation forms, basic content edits (WordPress or similar).
  • You have familiarity with small-dollar fundraising programs for political campaigns and organizations.
  • You have experience pulling and organizing fundraising metrics into clear reports.
  • You understand list and data hygiene best practices, and you catch formatting issues before they cause problems downstream.
  • You are curious about using AI-based tools to optimize your work.
  • You are proactive, detail-oriented, and ready to work in a fast-paced, small-team environment.
  • You are mission-oriented, collaborative, and care about working with integrity in a team environment.

Nice-to-have

  • You have experience with peer-to-peer or broadcast texting programs.
  • You have basic HTML/CSS knowledge for email or landing page troubleshooting.
  • You have experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Photoshop, etc.).
  • You have exposure to the acquisition vendor space (text rentals, cell phone appends, data acquisition).
