Job description

Job Summary:
Abode TechZone, LLC is seeking a Product Owner for their Data project, responsible for overseeing the delivery of Data Warehousing solutions. The role involves defining product vision, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring alignment with business goals while leading agile project management efforts.
Responsibilities:
• Define and communicate the product vision for the DW solution in alignment with the overall business strategy.
• Ensure that the vision and roadmap support business goals and drive data-related decision-making processes.
• Act as the key point of contact between stakeholders (business, data engineers, analysts, etc.) and the development team.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather business requirements, understand the data needs, priorities are accurately captured and understood by the development team.
• Work with senior leadership to align priorities, expectations, and ensure that the product roadmap reflects organizational goals.
• Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring it is aligned with project goals, timelines, and stakeholder needs.
• Clearly define user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases for the development team.
• Work closely with Data Engineers, Architects, and technical teams to ensure that the DW solutions are built efficiently and effectively.
• Oversee the design and development of the data pipeline, ETL processes, data models, and data integration strategies.
• Lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives in collaboration with the Scrum Master and development team.
• Track progress and make adjustments to timelines and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
• Ensure that appropriate testing processes are in place, including unit testing, integration testing, and UAT.
• Work with QA teams to validate that the delivered solution meets business requirements and quality standards.
• Coordinate the release process to ensure that new DW features are deployed smoothly and ensure that post-release issues are quickly identified and resolved.
• Ensure comprehensive product documentation (including user guides, technical documentation, and API specifications) is created and maintained.
• Provide training and support to business users, data analysts, and other stakeholders on the new DW features and functionalities.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts to refine the DW solutions and improve user experiences.
• Stay informed of emerging data technologies and industry best practices and incorporate into the product roadmap.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or in a similar role within a DW or business intelligence environment.
• Business knowledge on DW techs such as Snowflake, ETL, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and related tools (JIRA, Confluence).
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, architects, business analysts, and QA teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on driving business value through data solutions.
• Valid visa with min 8-10 months validity.
• Must be good with 5 days onsite working as per customer expectation along with 6 months contract to hire.
Preferred:
• Experience with cloud-based DW platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and Financial services, PC Insurance.
• Certification in Agile or Scrum Product Owner.
