Manager, Product Integrity & Social Compliance Analyst
Location: Hybrid at Broadway, New York
Pay Rate:
$32/hour on W2
Benefits: Dental, Health, Vision

Work Schedule:
This is a hybrid position requiring two days per week in-office, 40 hours a week.

  • Wednesday is a mandatory in-office day
  • Candidates may choose one additional in-office day: Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday
  • Fridays are remote (work-from-home)


About the Role

We areseeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Product Integrity & Compliance Specialist to support our growing merchandise and consumer products business. This role plays a critical part in ensuring vendor partners meet UMGs quality standards, regulatory requirements, and product integrity expectations across multiple product categories.

As part of a small, collaborative team supporting a newer company-wide initiative around product testing and compliance, this individual will help drive quality assurance programs, vendor education, product testing, and regulatory compliance efforts.
We are seeking someone who understands the full product testing lifecycle and can effectively partner with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and testing laboratories to maintain the highest standards of product quality and safety.

This position is ideal for professionals with experience in the fashion, apparel, jewelry, consumer products, or product quality assurance industries who are passionate about product safety, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key JobResponsibilities
Cross-Functional Partnership & Compliance Support

  • Collaborate closely with Sourcing, Production, Design, Legal, Merchandising, Retail, Wholesale, and Vendor partners to address product compliance and regulatory requirements across multiple product categories.
  • Monitor recurring testing failures, inspection issues, and vendor performance trends, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Stay informed of evolving wholesale account requirements and communicate updates to relevant teams.
  • Serve as a trusted compliance and product integrity resource for cross-functional business partners.
  • Develop quarterly compliance and vendor performance reports to support sourcing evaluations and vendor assessment initiatives.

Product Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Oversee product testing programs focused on product quality, safety, performance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure products meet established quality standards, testing requirements, and consumer safety regulations.
  • Review testing results and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with vendors to resolve testing failures and implement corrective action plans.
  • Verify testing is conducted according to care instructions, Restricted Substance Lists (RSL), quality standards, and performance expectations.
  • Support the continued development and scaling of UMGs product testing and compliance initiatives.

Vendor Management & Education

  • Lead onboarding and education efforts for new vendor partners regarding Product Integrity, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Compliance programs.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance related to inspections, testing protocols, and compliance requirements.
  • Build strong working relationships with vendors to promote continuous quality improvement and compliance adherence.

Laboratory Management

  • Partner with third-party testing laboratories to ensure testing is performed according to approved methodologies, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor laboratory performance, turnaround times, and reporting accuracy.
  • Ensure laboratories consistently meet service level expectations and compliance standards.

Regulatory Compliance & Product Safety

  • Stay current on evolving domestic and international product safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Provide regulatory guidance and support to internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Develop expertise in product construction, materials, trims, labeling requirements, fiber content, care instructions, and testing standards.
  • Support initiatives related to consumer safety, sustainability, and product integrity.

Program Administration

  • Maintain Product Integrity and Quality Assurance records, documentation, and reporting systems.
  • Support departmental projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

RequiredQualifications

  • 35 years of experience in Product Integrity, Product Testing, Product Quality Assurance, Product Compliance, or Regulatory Compliance.
  • Experience within the fashion, apparel, jewelry, consumer products, retail merchandise, or related industries strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of apparel manufacturing processes, product development, and quality assurance programs.
  • Familiarity with consumer product regulations and compliance standards, including:
    • CPSC
    • CPSIA
    • CPSA
    • FTC Requirements
    • California Proposition 65
    • REACH
  • Experience supporting product testing programs and vendor compliance initiatives.

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Office Suite.
  • Experience working with product testing laboratories is highly desirable.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze testing documentation and compliance reports; experience reviewing laboratory test reports is a plus but can be learned on the job.
  • International sourcing, compliance, or vendor management experience is preferred; experience supporting European or global markets is a plus but not required.
